My Only Wish
by Abraham Khoureis, Ph.D., M.A.
Now that the demise of Jamal Khashoogi, the Saudi journalist and The Washington Post contributor is confirmed, I have a wish. It is the only wish.
My only wish is that the white blank space of the late Jamal Khashoogi‘s column in the Washington Post is filled with the color red to remind us all of the spilled blood of the Yemeni innocent kids, elderly and women.
According to the Turkish Authority, the murder was committed by a team of 15 individuals, at the behest and direct order of the House of Saud’s own crown prince, better known as MBS.
It is not the first time the Saudi monarchy was accused of killing its people and the innocent people of its neighbors. Author Nasser Alsaaid, a Saudi national (among hundreds others), was assassinated because he penned his famous book, “The History of the House of Saud,” in which he exposed Ibn Saud family and how it was used by World Powers to steal the wealth of the Middle East and diverts its resources to destabilize countries, corrupt and influence world leaders and organizations.
So, when you hear the U.S. President Trump confesses his love of the Saudi King Salman, understand this, Trump is confessing his love for the oil and wealth that Salman controls.
In reality, President Trump wanted to acquire more than the country’s “assigned” share of distribution. A naive and impulsive move that exposed the secret that was hidden for more than 86 years, which is: the Saudi monarchy is working for us, and its King Salman and the demised others and cohorts are/were our agents to control the wealth and the masses’ aspiration for better life and independence.
Well, truth be declared, our tacit and blind support of the Saudi regime and its crown prince helped murder Jamal Khashoggi and continue to help MBS spill the blood of the innocent Yemeni kids.
According to the Turkish Police, Jamal khashoggi, who was born on October 13, 1958, was “brutally tortured, killed and cut into pieces, everything was videotaped to prove the mission had been accomplished and the tape was taken out of the country,” and sent to the Saudi crown prince’s own viewing and pleasure.
As the attention to the kidnapping, torture, cutting into pieces and murder of Jamal Khashoggi is the trend of the week, let us stop everything and reflect on our accomplicity of the kidnapping, torture, rape, murder of Yemeni children, elderly, and women.
Dear Lord, how much we are in need of this:
“Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
For our evil transgressions against the kids of Yemen, please have mercy on us…
