Can you tell us a little more about the Mentor program?

It is a six-month program where each participant-student is assigned a dedicated professional mentor to help her or him with his or her career, education and professional development choices. It is very beneficial.

How would you describe your experience at the Burbank Campus?

I am both an Adjunct Faculty as well as an Alumni. I attended my programs in Burbank as well. I am lucky to be able to teach others at the same classroom I was a student in. Yes, I had the opportunity to teach at the Caltech Campus, and utilize the classrooms of other Colleges and Universities. However, at the Burbank Campus the experience is different because here I feel at home. And that is partly due to the great and encouraging support of the Burbank campus staff.

What is your field of specialty, and how did you come to work in the industry?

Leadership and Management. I am also a Disability Rights Advocate. My three graduate degrees have emphasis on management, so from the beginning my forte was concentrated on the leadership and management disciplines. Now, I dedicate my time to disability research; leadership and management seminars; and write about leadership. Recently, I was accepted into the Forbes Coaches Council as an official member, and I am looking forward to publish my leadership articles on Forbes.com in the near future.

As a former student, Alumni and now a Faculty, do you have any words of wisdom you want to share with our current students?

I would remind them to stay focused, consistent and persistent. Focus will guide them to the right path, consistency will allow them to measure the path, and persistency will allow them to tolerate the hardship along this path. Be focus, consistent and persistent.

How do you spend your free time?

As my time permits, I practice my golf sport at our local DeBell Golf Course. I read daily. I express my emotions through my writing. I really don’t have free time.
