At the University of Redlands, we are setting the standard in delivering quality online education
When COVID-19 surprisingly changed our lives, the members of my class and I just finished our second-week of the semester. After receiving the directive from the esteemed G. Keith Roberts that social distancing became the unwritten law, and online learning is the new normal. I and many of my colleagues at the University and many educators beyond had to adapt to the new environment — uncertainty ensued — I am glad to report to you that creativity and determination have won. Yesterday, my class and I have successfully completed the semester while setting a new standard in delivering online education. The same quality of education the students received in an on-ground class was delivered to them online with an impact.
Here it is. In our last session of the semester, we experienced a full uninterrupted interactive ‘four hours’ real-time class discussion session; including a real-time final exam and students course oral project presentation, 6:00 pm to 10:00).
Congrats to University of Redlands for thinking ahead and kudos to the team of my class for their commitment, understanding and hard work.
Photos of the session included.
